I really loved the writing style, sometimes the story was a little slow. A really beautiful story.

I had been in a reading slump and this book got me right out of it. this was exactly the type of book i love. Achilles did make me angry at quite a few points and even though i knew what was gonna happen it didn't drag. the writing was captivating and the main character was so real..i felt like i would do anything for him.
At the end though i was more distressed at the idea that Patroclus  might never rest in peace than the fact that he died.
overall,it played my emotions like a fiddle.

Not the type of book I would usually go for, but in my opinion it truly deserves the hype. The story ist fascinating, suspenseful and heartbreaking. At first, it was hard for me to keep up with all of the names and kingdoms, but it was a great way to get introduced to Greek mythology.

I avoided reading this book for a long time because of how hyped it was. It deserves every bit of the hype it gets and more. There wasn’t a single part of this book I didn’t love. Every character was so complex and carried so much depth. Patroclus and Achilles made me want to believe in something beyond myself. The end had me absolutely sobbing, especially the last page. The twists and turns that the characters follow, each truly trying to do their best had me on the edge of my seat. Truly one of the best books I’ve ever read. I wish I could give it more than five stars.
