Feel good book. Dragged along for the first 60% of it, a lot of character development occurred in that time but I like a little more action. I can appreciate what this book is but just wasn't my favorite.

Funny, sweet, and emotional. Klune has a gift for making me laugh and cry at the same time. The characters are extremely lovable and fascinating, and the fantasy elements are incredibly creative.

Death is only the beginning! That book made me sob as all his books do but this one hit me really hard good lord. I love the found family in this book and the character development Wallace goes through. Hugo is just a teddy bear and I love him so much! Mei is so funny and feisty,Nelson is my favorite character tbh I loved the shit he was always up to,Apollo is so cute and has the same name as my dog the passed last year which is another that hit me lol. This book just made me cry and I loved it!

Cute and heartwarming. I’m not sure if the comedic aspect and the subject matter blended as well together as intended, but it was still a fun read. The epilogue made me a little upset, but in a good way!
Got on the TJ Klune express after Cerulean Sea.
While this isn't as wholesome as the former, dealing with death, grief and moving on, the same trademark humour, comfy settings and romance can be found.
I found myself living amidst the characters and going through what they felt alongside them. It felt all too bittersweet finishing the book and saying goodbye to the characters and the tea shop, though they shall stay on in memoriam for a long, long time!
