It wasn't awful. There were some issues I had with the story, mostly pertaining to Ethan himself, but I have to say I love Rachel. She went through incredible trauma and was so strong throughout it. She fought through every bit. I'm also rating this higher than I normally would just because of the other guys! I want to read their stories. Ethan was lackluster in the way he treated Rachel, and in the way, he kept secrets from her. I feel he only "loved" her because he felt guilty. Doesn't make for a very believable love story and redemption arc.

The book wasn't bad. It was filled with action and the characters each had their own personalities. I just really had trouble reading some parts. Felt like it was dragged on. And it usually doesn't happen when I'm so far into a book but this one did. But I will still continue to read the series.

I haven’t been able to read in quite some time so I thought I would re-read this one as I haven’t read the rest in the series I thought I would start at the beginning again. Loved it the second time around, going to download book two.

This was nice! I really didn't expect to live this but I do. The first book really drew me in and my first ever military romance that I enjoy a lot. Th characters are fun and so much more to explore that I can't wait to read the others

description

This book was a really enjoyable read. It was angsty and suspenceful. There was times that I was sitting on the edge of my seat. This book is about a guy named Ethan who lost his wife a year ago but on the annivesary of her death he got a envelope full of information. In that evelope was pictures of Rachel his wife. She was alive and he wanted her back so he went to his brothers who owns a company called KGI. His brothers wanted him to work at KGI for a while but he was never up for it. Ethan became a shell of a man after her thought that Rachel was dead, but the moment he saw that it might not be true, he started having hope and started fighting for her safety again.

“Never be afraid to tell me anything,” he whispered against her hair. “No matter how ashamed you might feel. I’ll never judge you, Rachel. I love you.”

Later on he found out that even though he has her back, her life is still in danger. She cant remember a lot about her life but she is slowly getting her memories back. I really liked this book but for me the book was missing something. The susoence in this book was alright but I would have liked a little more suspence. What I do know is that something like that can happen to anyone in real life and the way they made it stop was the right way to go. One thing I can complain about is how the book ended. The ending just did not feel like an ending for me, the ending needed something more. The author is a good writer becaeuse I loved that this book kept my attention most of the time. I never thought this book to be boring but it would have been nice of there was more suspence. I liked the emotion in this book and that you dont get your ,memories back with a wave of a wand.

“Is there something wrong?” he asked.
She gave a short negative motion with her head. And then words, so sweet, like a cool northern breeze blowing off the lake. “You could hold me now.”
It was almost his undoing.
“Ah baby.”

I would say that you should read this book because I know I’m goin to read the rest of the series. Maybe in the rest of the series I will find the books more suspenceful. I especially want to read more about Rusty.

“Trying to drown me woman?”
‘You can’t drown a SEAL,’ she said. ‘How embarrassing would that be?’
‘God yes. Shoot me, hang me, let me die of infection from a hangnail, but don’t let me die in the water. They’d send me to hell on principle.”

Quick read. New series for me. Just enough steam. Just enough suspense. On to the next brother!

It was an okay book but not my cup of tea. The plot is wishy washy for me.
