Wicked Liars is the first book in the Windsor Academy series. This book is a dark high school bully romance. This book is told from the dual point of view from Jasmine (Jazz) and Kingston.
Jazz has lived with her mom and sister Bell her whole life. She is 17 years old and her mother passed away. She discovers she has a father and is sent to live with him. Upon arriving she learns she has a stepmother and stepsister. Her stepsister Peyton is one of the three Queens of the school and has a hatred for Jazz from the get go. Peyton is in a relationship with Kingston.
Kingston starts to have feelings for Jazz. Jazz becomes friends with Ainsley (Kingston's sister) which is how Kington comes to be around Jazz. Kingston doesn't know if he can trust Jazz since she doesn't fall in line like everyone else. Peyton has her minions go after Jazz as much as they can.
This book ends with Jazz questioning everything. She doesn't know who she can trust. It ends on a cliffhanger.
I really loved this book, and can't wait to read the next one!

that’s how we’re going to end this book? really? I mean the prologue kinda gave it away that it would end on a cliffhanger but damn.
I went into this book/series completely blind and i’m happy I did. all I knew was that it was a bully romance and that’s it. this book was a very easy read, I was invested very quickly so i’m sure I will fly through the rest of this series.
I loved Jazz, she was feisty, tough, & didn’t take anyone’s shit. I did feel like she was a little too trusting with the boys after their incident and I felt like she swept that under the rug a little too quickly.
Kingston, I just don’t know what to think about him. I think he cares but I also don’t think he wants to so we’re having a lot of an inter battle going on. I also don’t think he’s behind what happened at the end of this book but I could be wrong.
we got very vague info about what was going on between the dads so i’m hoping we dive more into that in the next book.

I’m assuming if your reading this you’ve fell into the trap of reading or wanting to read this book. Don’t, save yourself.
I really tried to read it without judging so hard, logically i’m not always going to find a book that’s 5 stars each time and i may not always like the writing style. So I stayed even when the author included lines like “I heard my name. This must be the noob." or we get the same repetitive statements about how hot Kingston is.
However, my final straw was when she got drugged and then pictures where taken of her. Now i love me a dark romance book, i’ve read so many dark things that I reckon i’ve become morally grey myself but now that’s just crossing the line. It was just giving the author added it in so that the book would qualify as a dark romance, it was really poorly incorporated into the story and the characters were all one dimensional at best.
My other issue is that a lot of these authors try to make their female leads be ‘bad-ass’ but it doesn’t translate that way on paper unfortunately. It was giving me the ick more often that not hearing her speak because respectfully no one cares that your from the projects and while i’m at it no one cares that you have a 9 year old sister who’s in the care of a deadbeat.
All in all the writing was giving mediocre, the plot wasn’t plotting, I really tried my best not to DNF so I ended up skipping through a large portion of the story. The characters aren’t memorable and the story just lacked lustre . I was promised a dark bully romance with lots of plot twists and I was heavily heavily lied to. Atleast she tried though I guess? So 2 stars for trying!

i don’t mind bully romances but wtf they literally drugged her and then proceeded to take advantage of her. and the mc’s reasoning for the assault was simply bc she was “into it.” dnf 37%
