Everytime I pick up a sports romance, I'm reminded why I almost never do....
Fell madly in love with SJ Tilly's Alliance series and have been working through her back catalog. This was a cute bit of fluff. There were a LOT of side characters that interrupted the story A LOT.
I did love the bit with 'Kitten' sitting next to the MMC's mom during the hockey game.
But there was sooooo much miscommunication and interruption that I really had to push to get through it.
I don't read a ton of just character driven stories because the pacing gets slow. Not sure what if I will pick up the other books which I assume are based on Izzy and Meghan.

Story was easy, a bit over the top, but fun. Audiobook would have been much better as a duet.

I usually love the author's books, so I'm surprised I didn't truly connect with this story. To me it seemed like the hero was too perfect and the heroine too. It lacked conflict.

Um, yes...I'd like one Jackson Wilder for myself, please.
I am trash for a golden retriever hero who falls first. Swoon. This was a great series start that did a great job of introducing the characters for the remaining books. A lot of first in series books focus more on setting up subsequent books than on the romance of the first. I felt like Jackson and Katelyn were the focal point in this romance (as they should be). He is just SO into her.

I was laughing so hard during this book! It was a little bit more of a slow burn but was such a cute story! I love Jackson and Caitlin they are such a cute couple, and definitely had so many awkward moments that were so funny!
