God where do I even start?? Honestly I was severely disappointed in this book because once again I’ve been bamboozled by booktok. The entire book I felt like I was reading a fanfiction but WORSE somehow?? The only reason I can give it 2 stars is because somehow I was able to make it through the book. It was almost like a car accident that you just couldn’t look away from, so it at least kept me reading. The more I read however, the more I was physically cringing at how FAST their relationship moved??? Like who tf meets someone for the FIRST TIME and within 2 minutes is calling them Kitten?? ALSO the amount of times I had to stop and think “you’re just gonna say/do that in PUBLIC????” was astonishing. I just… simply cannot.

I definitely liked this book, I just didn't love it as much as I'd hoped. As always, SJ Tilly is amazing at writing a good insta-love book, but I just didn't fall for this one like I fell for the Alliance books or Latte Darling. I'll still likely give the rest a try tho.
i have seen this book all over tiktok and heard so many great things about it. unfortunately i’m a little disappointed, it was good but not great. it didn’t live up to the hype at all. it was a little cringy at times and moved way to fast for my liking. however every girl deserves to be treated the way jackson treated katelyn

S.J. Tilly’s books are usually a comfort, guilty pleasure of mine but for the life of me I couldn’t read one more sentence of this book.

3.5 stars rounded up
Sleet Kitten was a cute and lighter read that's character-driven with a touch of angst. Jackson (H) is a famous hockey player who's not a player outside of the game (always a win for me) and Katelyn (h) works in publishing and is a somewhat awkward sweetheart. There's a bit more telling than showing at times and the pacing is somewhat uneven since this was the author's first written story. However, I still enjoyed their meet-cute, chemistry, the jealous/possessive moments Jackson displays, and the endearing side characters.
The story is told in first person, dual POV. No om drama, some ow drama but because of her actions, not his interest (), neither are virgins (I don't remember it saying how long), and bc is used. Overall, I was smiling a lot, got a bit choked up at the emotional parts, and there's some well done steaminess that rounded everything out. I've heard good things about the rest of the series too and I liked the other book of hers I've tried. I'll be adding more of Ms. Tilly's books to my TBR for sure.

Spoiler
H's ex decides she wants him back and approaches him in a bar and then also later in his condo without his invitation, while unclothed...and the h comes to the door...this was harder to read because it devastated the h, even if the H wasn't encouraging the ow. His reaction to her being in his condo was wonderful
self note: there's OW drama in this one. the H shuts it down/doesn't engage but the H's ex fiancée still causes drama and lies about them being tg. even if he doesn't do anything and basically tells the OW to fuck off, i don't think i have the mental capacity to go through it lol. a similar scene happened in king by this author and i just don't have the patience for that shit.
