A lot less action and still predictable, but entertaining nonetheless! So glad we got to learn more about Charlotte, Henry, and Sophie.
Disappointed that Jessamine turned out to be a traitor. She had so much character development in the end of the last book, and that was all thrown out the window. She is portrayed as being so disgusting and shameful for wanting a normal life, for liking clothes and things. I was hoping that there would be more to her than what meets the eye. Keeping her as a Cinderella stepsister character to me sends a message that girly girls cannot be strong or smart.
The love triangle is INFURIATING—it's a pet peeve of mine when the main girl protagonist is seen by all dudes as so perfect and they all fall in love with her. This books does that. I can't see how this will end happily unless Jem dies!
