Enjoyed this couple a lot! This story is heavy on the world building so make sure you read the series in order but it is nice to see all the pieces come together.

This was a very unique book in the series. I enjoyed it overall, but it didnt seem that Nera and Kai got to know each other very well over the years and the ending felt like it was just a blood bath. I would have loved to see Kai learn to read (maybe with Lucia) and Nera getting to finish her schooling. The time jumps and story jumps felt a bit jarring.
