I really like Kai and Nera, this story just dragged and I was getting bored a lot

Ok this is probably my farewell to this series (though I wanted to read Zara's story from the moment she was introduced).
I was pleasently surprised with this one, given my last disappointments! This book did a lot of things right, and the yearning in this? phenomenal. The story had a tenderness that's been missing in the rest of the books (except for my favourite ones, duh). Also the Winter Soldier vibes had me SOLD.
It kept me hooked all morning, and it was well executed, but still, something felt missing? Like, it didn't make me *feel* so idk. Also, can't say I liked the nicknames. But the stalking? I liked that, very romantic, 10/10. And Kai's issues deserved more exploring.
I think the last 100 pages dragged a lot. Also the hardest I laughed was at Sergei's cameo at the end <3 Kidnapping three priests? That's my man <3 He's definitely the second favourite child. Salvatore is barely the 3rd favourite, but the scene with Milene was so cute.

SO??
I loved it BUT I don't know it gives me a 3.5 star feeling

I have finally finished this series! its such a bittersweet feeling because despite the last couple of books i really enjoyed it.
I know there is one more coming out which is believe is Zara and Massimo’s story but I will say this now I will NOT be reading none of that stepsibling shit. I draw the line at that weird ass shit. So I will unfortunately be sitting that book out.

But now that I have finished this series I can officially say that this is hands down my favorite in the series. Only because this story is so complex and tragic and completely unlike any of her other books. This was such a good and well thought out book I loved it.

Everything from their story’s was perfectly executed and I loved that we get to see how truly messed up unit Z.E.R.O truly was even after az and sergi got out of it.
I’m glad the MMC get revenge and was free of all that.

This book did have the baby trope in it which is usually my most hated trope but I surprisingly didn’t hate it, I held out such hope that he would come back before the baby was born and the FMC wouldn’t need to do everything she did but unfortunately that didn’t happen and my heart dropped when it was revealed that she was already 3 and the FMC DIDNT WANT TO TELL THE MMC.

I’m glad they got their happy ending, it was a long time coming and so deserved

Admittedly though I was a little skeptical because it was such a long book compared to her others at about 39 chapters + the epilogue. I just didn’t know if I really wanted to get into such a long book but I’m glad I did.
Overall this was such a good series. definitely recommend.
