Ugh this one got me crying left and right! The slow burn of the relationship to them finally declaring their love to the downhill spiral , it was so hard when reading that. I appreciated that Nera forgave Kai almost right away bc she understood his situation . I live for the reunions between Kai, Az, and Sergei. Hoping we see the girls meet/be friends too.

I've always loved Neva Altaj's books, they always give me butterflies and warm my heart with the real and true love her characters get even when they are imperfect amd always have something wrong with them.
Although, Kai and Nera gave me twisted feelings, idk if I like them or not, the sex scenes weren’t my favorite this time, I’ve always loved them in her other books, but idk.
Also, things were so fast with the baby thing, and I was certain it was a lie and needed to re-read the part when she told her stepbrother about the pregnancy, I thought I jumped the part when she said that she was lying.
Kai is one of the most broken characters I’ve ever seen. He deserves all the happiness in the world, and nera was the one for him. I was so brokenhearted in those moments when he was afraid to touch nera or Lucia, because his hands were coated in blood.
After so much time of reading this book I still feel the ache in my heart for those two, especially for Kai, my Broken, Dark killer with the kindest soul ever
