Good plot but the flashback was too much. Like more than half the book was the past and it set up the plot painfully slow. The best part was the epilogue. Writing was just like all the other books. Good characters bad smut. 1/5. I mustve liked these books bc they had me in a chokehold for a week. Read all 9.

This is probably my most favorite Perfectly Imperfect book I read.
Kai and Nera 'tiger cub'
Tropes: 10 yrs age gap, stalker hero, hitman x vet student and don's daughter
Kai is associated with Sergei and Az from other books. He works by killing people without questions. Nera is a sweet girl, she is the don's daughter and has a sister, Zara (10th book). Nera and Zara witnessed their step brother got killed while another brother killed the one who killed the first one. Massimo is the step brother who killed someone and he's imprisoned. When Massimo got out, there's instant connection with Zara (10th book, forbidden romance stepsiblings).
4 years ago (Kai - 29, Nera - 19)
Kai got injured and Nera, out of the goodness of her heart, stopped and brought him to a veterinary clinic to put bandages on him. Kai stole her red scarf and got obsessed with her right away. He wanted to keep her safe, stalking her, and watching her apartment from afar. He also killed multiple people who tried to harm her -- and they say romance is dead lol. They have few interactions but Nera knew that he was always there to watch and protect her.
Present time (33 and 23)
Kai went away for 3 years because he didn't know that the hit was on someone important to Nera and he deeply regretted that. Kai was tortured for three years while Nera was pregnant with their daughter. She also had to marry someone in the mafia to protect herself and her baby. Lucia is their daughter.
Sienna, Drago, Milene, and Tore had a cameo on this book. I also just remembered that Sergei and Roman are siblings haha. This is the longest book so far in the series but it was still super entertaining. I love them so muchh
