This was my favourite in this series, which just goes to show how sometimes it takes a while to his a stride with a series.

This book broke my heart, made me laugh, made me angry and kept doing this on repeat from start to end.

I love the character dynamic between the two MC’s and Nera was an absolute badass.

This book lost .5 stars for me because I feel the way a child is written in this book is unrealistic, she doesn’t behave or communicate like a child of that age would and it’s clear writing children isn’t a strength for this author.

Other than that though this book is amazing, a slow burn that kept me entirely invested, I didn’t even miss that they weren’t being intimate or full together as a couple because the journey was so good.

I am going to go down the rabbit hole that is this series because this was so good!

I really loved this book, and Neva knows how to write mafia romance.

Kai and Nera were so steamy and had such great chemistry, my heart broke over the distance between them in the towards the end. Not really a third-act breakup, but third act time apart, and it hurt me.

It had such a great ending and I am going to work my way through this series.

De verdad, hay algo que Neva haga mal????? NO

AMO

This series keeps amazing me with each installment. Darkest Sins is one of my favorites so far.

Kai's story is a poignant blend of tragedy and strength. At the time of his encounter with Nera, he was devoid of self-preservation and self-worth. Nera, quite literally, stiches him back to life. No matter how hard he tries, he can't stay away from her.

Nera refuses to let her circumstances dictate her actions or limits when it comes to safeguarding her loved ones.

I loved this demon and his tiger cub.

I’ll admit that I was not that excited for this book, but it proved me wrong. Kai was such a weird sweetheart. I really liked how the relationship developed over time. When he accidentally shot the father I gasped. I wanted them to be happy.

One thing that I don’t like is the structure. I don’t like to have the first chapter/prologue  in the present and then the majority of the book is spent in the past. I don't like it because I don’t want to know what will happen. In this book I was happy for them when they got together, but at the same time I just waited for something to be messed up because I knew it was coming.

The daughter was such a nice surprise. She was so sweet, and something that Kai deserved. It was such a nice moment when he started to connect to her because all he ever wanted was a family - even though he didn’t know it.
