I probably could have finished this audiobook on one day if I didn’t have to work in the morning but my god, it was soooooo good. The best way for me to describe what I experienced during this book was like the sensation of going up on a roller coaster. That anticipating climb with a few intermittent dips of plot twists but still climbing, climbing, until like the last 3hrs & then we are plummeting, rapidly.

When we met Chaol in the last book, I initially was like no not again, thanks to Throne of Glass. But when we got to know him more, I was like oh maybe he’ll be the one to wash this bad taste out of my mouth. Nope. Nope. He lived up to his name. I feel validated for not liking at Chaols lol

Oh. My. God. I have trust issues from that book. My faith in humanity was destroyed and restored and destroyed and restored. The story jumped straight into the action, never a lull in the plot. Everything was chaotic and confusing. The plot changed even from the first novel and what I thought I knew about this story world. I LOVED the characters in this book and the important and unknown roles they all played. The last 20% or so of this book was absolutely crazy. It was the best ending to a book like this and it just kept giving and revealing more secrets and getting better. I was shocked and in disbelief in soooo many parts of the book but especially the ending. Overall I really really recommend this 2 book series it was amazing.

Wow this book took so many turns and surprised me so often I still can't comprehend what I just read. It was very captivating and I was unable to lay the book aside. Definitely recommend both books of the series.
