This was a fun nostalgic read. The characters decisions while frustrating at times were age appropriate. It was whimsical, funny, and unexpected. I really enjoyed it.

Begins as a Narnia rip-off: children left with distant relatives in a curious place with magical secrets... But I am glad I stuck with it. Most good books try to explain the balance of good and evil in real or magical stories. I will read more of this series.

po dlhej dobe som znovu dostala chuť na rereading mojej detskej lásky. s odstupom času oceňujem, ako moc je príbeh prepracovaný, koľko záhad sa naskytlo v úvodnom diely a doriešia sa až o veľa, veľa strán neskôr. som nadšená.
