Such a cute story. Easy to follow and read. The banter was great and the spice was right on point. Love the character development/growth. I truly enjoyed it and it's a great addition to this new series!

I cannot tell you how much I adored Bleacher Report!

Tropes:
šŸ’ Hockey Player x Sports Podcaster
šŸ’ Fake Dating
šŸ’ Roommates to Lovers
šŸ’ Forced Proximity

Hunter is on a new team, he’s away from his ex, things are going good. Until his ex shows up at the team charity auction. He just has to convince Peyton, a girl that now hates his guts, to bid on him. Through a chain of events they end up needing to live together for a few months. And of course, they have a bunch of hilarious parts of this deal and the rule that they’re done after these two months.

Hunter, Hunter, Hunter. I absolutely loved him. He’s hilarious, he’s freaking sweet, and I really liked his inner dialogue trying to figure himself out. Peyton is a great character that you fall in love with along with Hunter. These two are really great together. I couldn’t put this book down. I just loved it so much. Just you wait until you see all of Hunter’s gifts šŸ˜‚šŸ˜ˆ

Peyton is a sports podcaster, trying to get the attention of Hunter in order to interview him.

These two find themselves in a fake dating situation, and sharing a bed šŸ‘€

Another great book in this series!

I really enjoyed the audio for this one! The narrators are incredible and did a fantastic job with these characters

tysm to chasingbooks pr for this earc!!

I loved this book so much, it was so fun to return to the Hawkeyes! Hunter was so cute to Peyton and I loved their relationship. The build up to them actually getting together was so cute and even though they didn't become a real couple until more than halfway through the book, it actually felt like they had a solid relationship that could survive past the end of the book.

tropes:
strangers to lovers
fake dating
found family
forced proximity
dual pov
sports romance
roommates
slow burn

šŸ“£ Bleacher Report is Book 2 in The Rookie Hawkeyes series—interconnected standalones full of swoony athletes and heart-melting moments.

šŸŽ¤ Peyton Collins finally lands a shot at her dream job—and she’s betting everything on an exclusive interview with Hunter Reed, the Hawkeyes’ notoriously private (and ridiculously attractive) defenseman.

But plot twist: Hunter needs something from her too… a fake girlfriend.

What could go wrong when a playboy athlete and a determined journalist start blurring the lines? Spoiler: everything—in the best possible way.

šŸ”„ The chemistry between Peyton and Hunter crackles from page one, and Kenna King delivers a story that’s funny, heartfelt, and completely addictive. You’ll root for them every step of the way.

šŸŽ§ Narrated by Megan Wicks & Austin Stone—an audio dream team you won’t want to miss!

I devoured this book in one sitting. Anything Kenna King writes has me utterly captivated. I read Match Penalty and absolutely adored it.

Once I discovered the possibility of reading the second book, I rushed to sign up as quickly as possible.

Hunter, the hockey bad boy (which I loved), was a complete sweetheart when it came to Peyton.

Peyton, oh my goodness, I adore her. I loved how she stood her ground with Hunter. The banter between them was so entertaining that I couldn’t get enough. They had me laughing and tossing and turning at night.

I cannot wait for the third book.

This was an incredibly enjoyable and quick read.

I am incredibly grateful to Kenna King and Chasing Books PR for providing me with the opportunity to receive an ARC.

I had no idea what to expect from this one going into it. Hunter has the reputation of Hockey’s bad boy, but honestly I don’t see how anyone who knows him could possibly believe that. He was honestly such a sweet little cinnamon roll hiding behind that cocky veneer.

The way Peyton absolutely laid into Hunter in that first bar scene really just set the tone for her. Like yeah she is a pretty girl & a sports reporter, but she will not take crap from anyone…even if she really needs to get them to do an interview to save her job.

Watching their friendship & relationship unfold was truly amazing. I almost hate that I’ve finished this one because I wish I could go back and experience for the first time again. This series so far has done such an amazing job of showing that it’s not enough to just choose someone as your person once…you have to keep choosing them & showing up for them everyday!

I’m so grateful to Chasing Books PR and Kenna King for giving me the chance to read an ARC copy of this book. I cannot wait for the rest of this series!
