another really sweet story this series really is just feel good sweet perfect love stories. this one was a little deeper bc jasper has a lot of trauma from his past but the love they have for one another is really just amazing. not even like romantic love just the way they have always been there for one another and nothing has ever made them leave each others side even though they were never together. everything between was just so inevitable and even tho jasper said he was late to everything i feel like everything happens when it’s meant to and i think even tho she pinned after him for so long things turned out perfectly for them. also harry giving jasper a piece of his land to build a house on at the end was fucking precious and i feel like that definitely healed a part of jasper that still needed healing even though he knows he’s loved by that family and is seen as a son/ brother that really just was the perfect thing for harvey to do for him. (also just have to mention jasper being a bit of a control freak was perfect iykyk)

Wow were Sloane’s dad and Sterling douchebags of epic proportions! I mean…just wow. It’s one thing for Sterling to be a jerk but I felt so sorry for Sloane that it took such an extreme situation for her to finally realise that her dad didn’t love her the way she thought. That she was just another pawn in his narcissistic existence.
I love her friendship with Jasper though. Almost 20 years of being each others’ rock whilst pining for one another - but only one of them acknowledging the fact, even to themselves.
He helps to break her out of her wedding, and they basically run off together on a road trip to escape reality. Jasper has only recently admitted to himself that he’s attracted to her, so throw in a one room situation and a private lake, followed by a private cottage in the snow…I mean, the buddy banging was inevitable. And so hot! Who knew the stoic hockey player would be such a
