I just loved this story! It was beautiful story wrapped in a wonderful package. Fabulous to read especially after reading more heavier books!

Not my finest hours

So I grabbed up this book because a book friend of mine was giving it a shot, then it was picked up by her reader group as the monthly read of August. I saw the TikTok for the book and thought the synopsis sounded great, I love a good secret baby story.

But this book left so much to be desired. I tried so hard to connect with Aubrey, but it felt like she latched on to the smallest things. It took her almost the entire book to be grateful for the things in her life. Little Claire was sweet and her dad was a great rock for Aubrey. I will say I LOVE Isaac. He was everything I look for in a book boyfriend. He was sure in who he was, capable and loved freely. I didn't like that it took the entirety of the book to let us know why he was in the bar the night they met. My BIGGEST disappointment was probably the amazing tension that built between Isaac and Aubrey, only to have it skipped over to the next day. I'm too grown for that.

For a book with so many pages a lot of things we not clear. I don't think I'll be reading the rest of the series.

Tiktok inspired me to read this one. It was very good, but definitely took me longer to get through than most reads do. It wasn’t one of those books you start and just cannot put down.

I loved this book from the very first page to the last. Every chapter most exciting than the last. This was an extremely good book. The book starts off with Aubrey broken up over a break-up and spending “one hour” with a man she will never see again. Fast forward five years and there that man is again.. but there’s complications. If you want to see what happens you will have to read this incredible book.

Favorite Quote: “Perfection isn’t attainable, I know that now. It doesn’t even exist. But when I look out at the scene in front of me, I know this is the best it could ever be.”

Great author and I cannot wait to start the second book.

Wholesome story with no angst. Just pure love.
