I don't care about just getting it done anymore, because I realize that mindset means I'm missing so much.

On stage or in front of the camera, I just love to explore what makes us human.
- Sam -

I will probably never become a hiker like Sam Heughan, but after finishing this book, I have the wish to touch some grass. To get away from daily life and reflect on a very personal level. There seems to be no time, but that's exactly what he tells us to do. Not stress so much, take one step after the other and enjoy every day. It's difficult, but so important for a good and healthy life.

I really like the concept of how Sam wrote his story down. The present hike journey went perfectly with his biography! I learned so many new things about him and also got to think about deep topics he talked about.

I have to give him this, Sam is really not a bad writer. He immediately got me interested in his life and learnings. A good mix of humour and philosophical, honest topics. It's a wild ride, the life of an actor, and Sam gave an incredible realistic description of it. I'm thinking a lot about all those people who had the same dream, but never made it. The resilience and endurance!

I love Sam. I can call him Sam, right? I learned so much about the acting industry, Outlander, and Scotland in this entertaining and bittersweet story. While I honestly have no desire to hike the West Highland Way (Never say never??), I was cheering for Sam every step of it. I already miss not being privy to his thoughts, stories, and dreams. What a fascinating read.

I appreciated this look inside Sam's life outside of what is commonly known, but the back and forth writing style felt jarring to me.

Do I am a fan of Sam? Yes do I enjoyed the book. YES I am not a big biography reader but because are the memories of Sam I wanted to have access to this arc. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for give me the access and to sam for exist. I like the duality of this book because I felt sometimes was very practical and other times where very poetical I liked the narration of the author own journey with struggles and all. I like the vulnerability in this book you can really sense it and as a reader you always appreciate this. I like the way the story is controlled and I like it was a time of his life where he shout off the whole tv thing and focus in his hiking. I do recomend the book was interesting and enjoyable.
