This book gave me a massive range of emotions. It was laugh out loud funny at parts, but also made me cry at others. It’s the kind of heartfelt book you can’t help but enjoy. I really enjoyed it. The characters were wonderful, and I loved how in a lot of ways the characters around Ove didn’t change, but how he saw them did. (Somewhat - he’s still Ove after all!) They all had distinct personalities, though, even if briefly there. I also really enjoyed the writing style. It made for a super fun read. Highly recommend this one!

I laughed, I cried, and I laughed some more. A little bit of a slow start but such a sweet story of love, loss, multi-generational friendship and the importance of community.

The story and the writing were great and I cried a few times buttt I found it hard to root for Ove because he was too unlikeable, too mean and violent. For that I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars

This book will make you feel all the emotions. I didn’t think I’d like it but I was wrong it was great.

This book is not a terrible book in terms of bad content. But there is continuous mention of possibly sensitive content to the extent of wanting the reader to learn from these things. Like

homophobia against a character and kicking out that character. And child loss but it is not described in a grafic way

Ove was insufferable for the first 2/3 and only slightly less so for the last 1/3. But I live and die for a found family 🥺
