I love you dearly and I love you queerly and no demon is bigger than this! (istg if the adaptation doesn't lean into this angle more i don't know what we're doing as a society)

I want to say I love Grady Hendrix books and writing style. That why i’m sad to say that I saw this book as okay

‘“Corn dogs," the exorcist said, "are all the proof I need that God exists”’.
I enjoyed this book, especially as an introduction to Grady Hendrix as an author. The characters were well developed and behaved as I would expect sixteen year old girls to behave. The actual horror involved was minimal, but excelled with the descriptions of what is happening to Gretchen.
All in all, this would be a wonderful Halloween/spooky season read for someone who doesn’t want complete horror.
