I wish the possession aspect of this was more fleshed out and I thought more would happen with the house in the woods/murdering spirit deal. I felt like the initial possession and breaking of the curse were disconnected from each other.
I did like the overall message about the lasting power of female friendships. And I liked the connections to ASBCGTKV.

3.5 ⭐️! This book definitely felt like an 80s horror movie which I love. The adults are all terrible, absolutely awful honestly (makes sense since it gives horror movie vibes). I liked Abby and Gretchen’s relationship and felt Abby herself was a very strong minded character. It did drag a bit though in some parts despite being a shorter book and the ending fell just a bit flat for me. Overall, a pretty fun read with some cute and definitely gross moments. Please check your triggers before reading this!
