Honestly, this book had no business existing and nothing happens in it. People go places and talk; then they don’t say anything important, and everything is unimportant because there’s no conclusion. Honestly one of the worst books I’ve read this year

***** Long Island (Eliis Lacey, #2) by Colm Toibin continues Eilis' story 20 years later and right off the bat, wham! A situation in Chapter One will drew this reader in. The last chapter concludes with answers and a cliff hanger. I am of two minds with this book as a running theme of unfaithfulness to one's partner is throughout. Toibin does write about the painful consequences and how it can affect so many people. Recommend.
