I'm not sure I'm into cat people.
mysterious fast-paced

It was a fun read but not something I'd go crazy over. Alyec's reveal was not what I expected. He acts irresponsible for most of the book. When we find out who he is, Chloe says she should've known. That there were signs? In all honesty, though, it all seemed to point to Brian. Maybe Alyec was putting on a facade so no one would suspect him of being more than a pretty boy. Who knows?

I just picked this book randomly from the library like 4 years before it became a tv show!
It's kinda random how they choose this series to be on tv... i mean it wasn't that great...
fast-paced

Let's just hope the second book has a bit more action before the 70%-mark. And I'm not talking about all the make-outs with her boyfriends, I'm talking about fight scenes or chasing scenes. (update: Not gonna continue the series)

This was a very easy read. I like how it keeps you guessing on what could happen next. I was somewhat expecting the end but there was a twist I didn't see coming. I'm glad I have the whole series...onto the second one!

Really disappointed with this first book. Going to read the rest of the series to get a full view. I watched the tv series and found out it was a book series as well. I really liked the characters and how it portrayed this interesting girl going through these changes. Everything is so different in the books. I realize the books came first, but I really appreciated the adaptation made for the tv series. Not often I like film or tv over books.

Really good! I should mention to my mom friends though that even though this is a teen book it contains more mature themes. Lots of talk about sex (no actual sex scenes), sexual desire, violence, and several curses including the G. D. word and the F word.

I liked these books as a teenager, and now reading them ten years later I am struck by what a bitch Chloe is -- and how much I like her anyway. She is a strong character who isn't nice or polite, and instead is impulsive, ferocious, and brave and it makes her fascinating. This book does get off to a slow start, and I wish it had spent less time on her normal life and more time with the other cat people.
