Hard to jump in and was confused by the characters until I realized I was in book #10 of a series! Hahah! No wonder! Loved the murder story line, bored with the love story line and not connected with most of the characters, but if I read 1-9 I will be!
A book with a minimal payoff - When one is reading a 500 pager thriller, I would expect the build up to have some sizzle. But the ending was very disappointing. I do not hate this book but could have been cut short to half, isn't it?

So far this is my favorite book in the series. It makes me want to go back and read the Grant County series to get a better understanding of A key player in this book.
