This is the 10th book in the Will Trent series and to say I have DEVOURED these books would be an understatement! I have binged this series in the last week and I was SO happy to receive the newest edition as an eARC from Netgalley
This is the BEST mystery/thriller series. I am so invested in Will Trent and Sarah Linton. I wanted to scream at Will the whole time that he needs to SPEAK UP! Slaughter writes her characters so well. Characters you love, characters you hate; I love the leads, Will, Sarah, Faith…and HATE Lena Adams! I’m happy in this one that we get to see some first hand validation of Sarah’s hatred for her. The plot was also fast-paced and exciting, as always. I love how the cases unfold into revealing what happened. There is a major trigger warning for anyone who has been raped/assaulted. If you’ve made it this far in the series, then you know that Slaughter writes these types of cases. It is heartbreaking, but there is justice in the end. I really hope she continues with this series. I am not ready to say goodbye to Will, Sarah, or Faith. EDIT- I just listened to the author’s note at the end of this book, and BURST INTO ACTUAL TEARS when she said there WILL BE more Will and Sarah stories.

tough gruesome read, really well done. predicted the killer less than halfway thru so that docks points for the book but adds them to my coolness quota
