I read this for my august book club book and honestly it wasn't bad!!! I listened to it as an audio book which was different for me but i enjoyed it.

Clearly written, using Victorian style descriptions but not too long. The book and story is a page turner, full of suspense and a couple of red herrings to tease our guesses.

اونچه این داستان رو از بقیه داستان های شرلوک هولمز متمایز میکرد این بود که کانن دویل ایندفعه بجای لندن دود گرفته داستان رو برده بود به مناطق .روستایی مه گرفته و مرطوب جنوب غربی انگلیس که نتیجش هم فضا سازی فوق العاده داستان بود

This is my first time reading Sherlock Holmes for myself (although admittedly I did start the book several times, years ago, and never got past the first chapter for some reason). I had the stories read to me when I was younger, I know some of the audio book versions and many of the tv adaptations. So needless to say, I knew what to expect and it is always some good fun to read.
Anticlimactic. It was a decent read, and sherlocks reappearance was a nice twist, but i think that was the only surprising thing in this book. i definitely preferred A study in scarlet more.
