Such a relatable mother daughter duo. It was enjoyable parenting/coming of age story. Its not the life altering, unforgettable book that would create a 4-5 star review. Regardless, it was a great light read that I still highly recommend, especially for mothers.
Kind of a snooze to get through for me. Not recommended.

A mother daughter duo embark on an East Coast college bus tour to visit potential colleges.
Jessica, a single Mom and power house lawyer and her 16 year old daughter Emily have committed to making the trip.
As one who is not a fan of bus trips, let alone multi-day bus trips---this is my idea of punishment and perhaps that put a strain on my listen to this book.
I had a hard time identifying with the teenager who came across aloof and rude and the Mom would was a workaholic who couldn't take a break from her job to bond with her daughter.
There are some fun moments and silly adventures. I particularly like when they ditch the bush for awhile! I mean....that's what I would want to do in this case. Maybe all the college picking pressure and whatnot came flooding back in a way I didn't want to revisit.

Full disclosure, I already like the author a LOT!
This one started out with a rough subject matter - bullying boss. I had to put it aside for a bit, but the rest of the story was worth getting beyond the beginning setup.
As a non-parent, this was an interesting view of parent child relationships looking in all directions - from parent to child from child to parent and from parent looking at their own parents from an adult perspective.
