I really enjoyed this author's writing style and keen character observations. I had high hopes for the book, as it has a road trip of sorts. (I love a good road trip story.) However, the plot fell a little flat for me.

I did enjoy the author's voice enough that I am looking forward to reading her other books, of which I have heard positive reviews.

I love this author. The book felt a little close to home and I found myself squirming over all the miscommunication. But I enjoyed it.

DID NOT FINISH

Needed to return it to the library and I found I didn’t really mind handing it back.

A fun read that I am shelving for when my young cousin gets to be Emily’s age. Maybe it will be important for her and her Mom to read! Always enjoy Abbi’s writing.

I am currently binging all of Abbi Waxman's books-- I am obsessed with her addictive characters and light-hearted storylines. However, this one fell a little short for me and did not break my heart to finish as her others did. For my full review, head to the link in my bio!

My third Abbi Waxman novel and it has the best of both the other two! It's funny, like The Bookish Life of Nina Hill AND has the wonderfully authentic mother/teen daughter relationship of Other People's Houses. I wanted to spend a lot more time in the company of Jessica and Emily Burnstein - can they do another trip together?

A cute, fun read. Not much conflict other than a mom and her teenage daughter - which is just my every day.
