This was on my TBR WAY too long before reading it. I listened to it and adored it. I have a 9 year old girl and can feel the I rolls and miscommunication through the text. Not that you have to have a daughter to enjoy it. After all we all have parents! I loved this and must have texted it to at least 6 friends

I enjoyed this story of the dynamics of a mom and daughter. It was just a nice story of figuring out how to handle growing up and navigating a relationship with a nearly grown daughter.

Great book, good amount of sass. Many women, no lesbians. Some men. No homosexuality mentioned... so other than that, great!

Mother-daughter relationships are hard, but can be made even harder with the pressure of choosing a college right around the corner. Jessica, a hard-working, successful lawyer, and Emily, an 18-year-old student who doesn’t enjoy school, embark on a week-long college tour with a group of strangers. It’s not the ideal setting for working out their relationship or trying to understand each other, but surprises and secrets change their lives forever. Note: I really enjoyed Waxman’s The Garden of Small Beginnings and Waxman is known for her funny, relatable, and heartwarming work.
