"It ain't perfect, but it's from the heart." 💗💗💗
What’s occupying your thoughts? Slice up the pie chart, and ask yourself: “How do I feel about the expenditure of my time and emotional energy? Am I getting a good return on my investment?” Remind yourself as you divvy up this pie chart: “I draw the lines.”
You know how people tell you to have the “patience of Job”?
Well, I checked my Bible, and Job bitched his head of f .
So there ya go. You now have the patience of Job.
You’re welcome.
My Grandma Chenoweth, a big Bible reader, was untroubled by the contradictory mandates and inconsistent stories within it.
"I eat te fish without choking onthe bones."
"The Bible, she reminded me, is not a single book; it's a library. Not everyone hangs out in the same section of the stacks."
Eat the fish. Leave the bones.
Receive nourishment from whatever nourishes you. Sidestep the choking hazards. Those bones were necessary for the fish, but you'll never able to comfortably swallow them.
Nobody has all the answers. Even Jesus didn't give us a straight up rule book. He gave us stories and encouraged us to ask questions.
If you insist on knowing all the answers in life, you're going to be (a) disappointed and (b) no fun to sit next to on an airplane.
Anyone who cruises through life without getting their heart broken probably isn't loving hard enough,.
Nuns are all about the work, and they don’t give a wimple if someone else doesn't understand or respect their ife choices.
In the absence of noise, we found our vertical.
The horizontal ain't bad either.

Wow, that was a rollercoaster of chaos. Yet, it was so enjoyable and light but honest. Love how she shares everything she believes in the frame of her faith.
This was a really sweet, peaceful, emotional read. It felt like you were sitting at l lunch with a friend. I adore Kristin Chenoweth! Her heart and her grace poured through this book. And though it's short, it's heartfelt and honest, and I really enjoyed it!
