This book was just nonsense, but in a really good way. The whole thing was absolutely crazy and completely followed the book title. I still don't know what's real or not.

It was a super fun read!

A lot of pretty words but not enough substance. Not enough characterization for me to care about the plights of any of these people. Bonus points for lesbians, 3 stars.

I could see what the author was trying to do here but it comes off as disjointed and messy. Justice for Charlie & Mitchie tho

This gave me Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind vibes.

There a few story lines within the book that felt almost poetic. Especially Part 3 which essentially is inside one of the characters mind/dreams.

Even though it’s a book about zombies and ghosts, it’s not really the focal point.

Wow, just wow.
What a beautiful trainwreck of a story. It has everything - WLW, werewolves, invisibility, coming of age, secret messages in between the lines (literally),
tragic deaths and unbearably hopeless ending
.
The story unwraps gradually, but from the first pages it captivates you with all the wacky concepts (memorable trees, cursed mother, headless ghost, stupid old dog and his elderly friend), so you're taken hostage with the desire to see where it takes you in the end and what's it all about.
Not a fan of some writers decisions, but overall the vibe of the book was something new to me, and I'm all in for it.
