What an interesting read. I've only read from a few of the authors before, so most were new to me. But I will definitely pick up something else from a lot of them.
Although I didn't love all the stories equally, there were more hits than misses for me there. I liked the variety and diversity not only when it comes to the authors but also characters, settings, themes, and narrative structures (I love it when writers experiment with this in short story form). A little too much focus on weird horror for my taste, though. I was expecting more sci-fi or fantasy in this collection.

My fav stories were:
Minsoo Kang - The Virtue of Unfaithful Translations
Jaymee Goh - The Freedom of the Shifting Sea
Indrapramit Das - The Shadow We Cast Through Time
Anil Menon - The Robots of Eden
Darcie Little Badger - Kelsey and the Burdened Breath

New Suns

The Galactic Tourist Industrial Complex, Tobias S. Buckell : 5/5 So much fun and interesting
Deer Dancer, Kathleen Alcala: 3/5 Well written but too short
The Virtue of Unfaithful Translations, Minsoo Kang: 5/5 Very epic for something so short, I need to read a full novel by Kang
Come Home to Atropos, Steven Barnes: 4/5 Really fun and funny, with a serious undertone
The Fine Print, Chinelo Onwualu: 5/5 A very melancholic but interesting story. I absolutely loved it
Unkind of Mercy, Alex Jennings: 4/5 A really interesting horror esque story with an interesting ending
Burn the Ships, Alberto Yanez: 3.5/5 Just wasnt feeling this one, however it was very well written. I also liked the end.
The Freedom of the Shifting Sea, Jaymee Goh: 5/5 This was so fantastic ! Like sooo good.
Three Variations on a Theme of Imperial Attire, E. Lily Yu: 5/5 A fantastic retelling of a fairy tale classic, but just that bit bloodier.
Blood and Bells, Karin Lowachee: 4/5 I really liked the relationship between father and son.
Give Me Your Black Wings Oh Sister, Silvia Moreno-Garcia: 4/5 I really liked this, just wait it was a little longer, but I do love the darknesss to it and it was excellently paced for something so short.
The Shadow We Cast Through Time, Indrapramit Das: 5/5 Utterly fantastic ! Need to read more by this author
The Robots of Eden, Anil Menon: 3.75/5 I want to read more from this author, I liked a lot of this story but overall it just didn't click
Dumb House, Andrea Hairston: 3/5 This was also very well written but just didnt click with me.
One Easy Trick, Hiromi Goto: 3/5 Very weird and interesting concept, but it was a very odd story.
Harvest, Rebecca Roanhorse: 4/5 A very good dark tale
Kelsey and the Burdened Breath, Darcie Little Badger: 5/5 I will be reading more from Little Badger ! That was fantastic. I love a good spooky tale and the world building is so well done in a short story.

Some of stories are captivating, but I'm not big on short story compilations.

So many of these stories interweave fantasy, myths and science fiction in a truly compelling way. Not all of them resonated with me, but many will keep me thinking about them for quite some time.
Definitely a great way to get to know new SFF authors.
