This was a rather cute read! Lovely premise and a feel good story.
The only thing I wish is for there to have been a bit more "action" so to say.
Otherwise, it's a perfect Sunday afternoon book.
I do love regency era courtship book and this one stands up to the task.

This could very well be a Regency Hallmark movie

So much fun. I thought all through that it was such a creative idea for a Regency— and it is— even after she explains that there really was a directory! The Ladies here responded brilliantly.
Nice ambiance, great friendships, and sweet romance— all brought together with witty and entertaining writing. Rather sorry I’ve finished it, would like to still be there.

I know it’s a romance, but I need my characters to have at least a little substance to them.

Picking this book up and trying to get into it taught me that just because I enjoyed Bridgerton, doesn't mean I enjoy the genre as a whole. The concept was fun, but the plot was so meandering at the characters were so bland I couldn't get into it. DNF.
