A great book for fans of Outlander. Also a great book for Scottish history. Sam & Graham are both charming, handsome, and funny actors. Their friendship is great to view as a part of this book. This is outside of the realm that I normally read, but it was entertaining.

The namedropping got too tedious in the end so I gave up.

2.5 but I'll round up because it satisfied some wanderlust that I've been experiencing during the pandemic.
I picked up this book because it was nominated on the 'Best of 2020' Goodreads awards. I choose to go with the audiobook because it was read by the authors and who could resist some Scottish accents reciting their history and adventures?
This book told some Scottish stories that I had not heard before and I appreciated the authors' love of their home country. The two authors had a good repoire and their descriptions of the Scottish Highlands made me want to visit.
Unfortunately, aside from that, this book was kind of a slog. First, the narrative structure was a bit confusing in audio. It took me an embarrassingly long time to realize that there would be sections where each author would give their perspective of a situation. This means that for sections about their travels filming their TV show, you hear the same story twice -- but through each's perspective.
Second, this book transitions between stories of travelling for their TV show, Scottish history, and other stories in their careers abruptly with little transition. It can be disorienting if you aren't paying close attention.
Finally, you will get the most out of this book if you are a fan of the Outlander show. There are some behind-the-scenes tales and many references to specific scenes from the show. You might also find the authors more endearing if you already have an attachment to them through their characters. As someone who does not watch the show, the authors were fine, but not as charming as they think they are

Sit back and enjoy the ride with these two! I’d listen to anything they’d narrate. Now only i if my library has Men in Kilts…can’t find it anywhere!
Light, fun reading with great humor and excellent tidbits of Scottish history. I’d love to listen to the audiobook to really hear the banter between Sam and Graham. Enjoyable book! Makes me really want to travel to Scotland!
