3.5 Cute Christmas romance. I would read Bromance Book Club #1 first to introduce yourself to the characters.
Colton is a country singer who needs to find his muse to write his new record. In walks the woman of his dreams Gretchen who wants nothing to do with him. This star has to actually work for her attention and once he has it the Bromance club is going to help him keep it. I love all the romance book trope references and the bromance between this family of guys. Colton and Gretchen shouldn't work, but opposites attract. Plus getting to see past couples has made this Adams book definitely worth the Christmas read.

Lyssa Kay Adams does it again! I LOVE the Bromance Series and all the fellas. However, Colton is now my new favorite leading man. I'm a sucker for a country star, and Colton is just that. This grumpy/sunshine trope gave it all to me, and I liked how Colton was the sunshine and Gretchen was the grumpy one. Please add this boy to the top of your holiday TBR stacks. You won't regret it!

Aina kun tartun Lyssa Kay Adamsin kirjaan, ilmaisen sen hetkessä. Tämänkin kanssa piti pakottautua laittamaan kirja pois, etten olisi valvonut koko yötä tätä lukien.
A Very Merry Bromance on viides kirja Adamsin Bromance Book Club -sarjassa. Sarjassa ryhmä menestyneitä miehiä lukee romanssikirjoja oppiakseen, mitä naiset haluavat ja tarkoittavat. Joo, kuulostaa vähän cringeltä, mutta tässä kuitenkin yritetään tuoda feminismiä mukaan hommiin. Ei nämä tarinat todellakaan ole täydellisiä: pyörittelen yksityiskohdille monesti silmiä ja arvioin mielessäni kunkin teon oikean elämän toksisuusastetta. Adams kuitenkin kirjoittaa todella vetävästi ja sujuvasti, joten näihin uppoaa ilolla. En ole suuri romanssikirjojen lukija, koska en pysty sulkemaan silmiäni fantasia vs tosielämä -vertailulta (kuinka paljon fantasiat vaikuttavatkaan todellisuuteen!), mutta näiden lukemista kyllä jatkan ilolla.
Tää kirja on muuten siitäkin hyvä, että käydään läpi sitä, miksi jotkut ihmiset (esim. minä) eivät pidä joulusta. Samaistuin.
Tässä kirjassa seurataan menestyslaulaja Coltonia ja imigraatiojuristi Gretchenia, joka on hylännyt menestysperheensä ja haluaa tulla toimeen omillaan. Gretchen kuitenkin haluaa perheensä hyväntekeväisyysjärjestön hallitukseen, joten hänen täytyy yrittää suostutella Colton yrityksen uudeksi mainoskasvoksi. Colton taas on haaveillut Gretchenistä pitkään ja haluaa nyt käyttää tilaisuuden hyväkseen saadakseen Gretchenin kanssaan treffeille. Edellisiä osia ei ole pakko lukea, mutta niihin kyllä viitataan.

Another brilliant story in this series!!
I liked that this one took a bit of a step back from the book club, but it all tied in together at the conclusion of the story. There wasn't as much influence from the book club, but there was still the love and support of the very close-knit group.
I really enjoyed the two main characters, their stories, and their growth (both individually and together as a couple). I was a bit annoyed by the name of the FMC, just because to me it is a very 'old lady' name, lol.

This whole series is cute nonsense that I mostly enjoy. And I really enjoyed this one because it’s Christmas and Scroogy/sunshine and bickering. My shit. I liked this couple, they were cute, her family sucked. You know what? Fuck it, it’s a 5-star read. If you want a good Christmas rom com, go for it.

This is a very emotional 5 stars. I am in love with all these characters omg! I never want this series to end!
Another one of my book club reads - I kinda liked it but at the same time I found one of the MCs very annoying for a lot of the book. I'm thinking that the grumpy/sunshine trope isn't for me! But, as usual, that's a me problem and not a book problem. The writing and plot were quite good!
Something about the boys in the Bromance Book Club makes them feel blurred around the edges. I can’t really tell them apart (besides Vlad, because he’s Vlad). And they really didn’t have much to do with this book, weirdly. I love a good sparring match between a sunshine and a grump, and this book did deliver that. However, the ending of this book just wasn’t fully fleshed out. We see two chapters dedicated to the romance-novel-within-the-romance novel, but then it sort of withers away as a plot device. We see Evan as the big bad character, but there’s not an overly satisfying ending to his whole reign of terror. I guess I just wanted more than what we were given? Unsure.
