Not the best of the Bromance series, but another thoroughly enjoyable story about two people really and truly working through their own

“You should know, honey, that I’d rather be insulted by you than be fawned over by anyone else.”

eeks
- ughhh the banter
- DARLIN, HONEY, ARE YOU KIDDING ME
- she has to read the book now?
- idk “he likes her so much and she’s trying not to like him” was a trope that I didn’t know I loved until now

icks
- minor plot hole, but still a plot hole
- not as much plot happening as the other books
- the bromance bookclub really wasn’t a big part of this bromance book club book :(
- I should’ve known… third at break up LATE into the game (like 85% but honestly the plot didn’t really get going until 80%)

maybe it was because it’s Christmas themed, maybe it’s because it was the last book in the series but this book didn’t hit as hard as all the other books. I’d still recommend the whole series!!

Didn't feel much spark between the two MCs. Just run of the mill romance for me

“The way he’s looking at you in that picture is the farthest from professional as a man can get.”

“Whatever that was out there between you two, it wasn’t business. That was foreplay.”

“It’s weird. We don’t really make much sense.”
“Falling in love rarely does.”

“You just have to stop wishing that people who will never appreciate you will someday wake up and beg you to stay.”

“You were right though, what you said yesterday. All those times I ran away, I didn’t really want to. Every time I was just desperate for someone to notice I was gone and to care enough to beg me to come home.”

A quick audiobook. I enjoyed this one but did find things to get a bit repetitive. I loved the country music aspect and all things Christmas.

It took me a bit to get into the story because I couldn't quite understand why Colton liked Gretchen. She came off as judgmental and somewhat condescending. However, as the story progressed, I began to see why they worked well together, and I appreciated the way their relationship developed. It was especially enjoyable to see Gretchen letting her guard down. The steamy scenes were good, and I also liked the storyline involving Gretchen's family. Nevertheless, although it was an entertaining read, it wasn't particularly memorable or unique. It was just okay.

If you are looking for a cute holiday read, pick this one up!

This was a PERFECT reverse grumpy x sunshine holiday romance. First of all, I absolutely adore this series. I just know all of these books are going to have me GRINNING ear to ear. Colton and Gretchen are the cutest, I was rooting for them the ENTIRE time and OH MY GOD the pining. Colton is a top book boyfriend, I swear.
