It seemed so interesting but unfortunately fell short, which made plot points confusing and kind of boring at times. I felt it only got really good as i started to ignore the confusion, but i'd have much prefered some more detail in that sense.
Graphic: Injury/Injury detail, Blood, Death, and Body horror
Moderate: Suicidal thoughts, War, and Suicide attempt
Minor: Pandemic/Epidemic

this sounds ridiculous but even if the story was kept exactly how it was and there was a little glossary in the back of the book that explained

I loved getting glimpses into fantastical worlds, imagined pasts and futures tied together by the beautiful, soulbaring love letters of the two protagonists who fall in love between their lines. I really enjoyed reading a sapphic book where the sexuality between the main characters is treated as such normalcy that it isn't even mentioned.
PS: This was the first time I ever considered annotating a book because the language was just *that* stunning.
Graphic: Body horror, Violence, Suicide attempt, and Blood
Moderate: Death
Minor: War

lowkey thought this was gonna be one of my favorite books ever tho and it sadly didn't make that bc of how confusing it was... still loved it a lot tho and the writers are very talented!! I know that makes it sound like a 3 star but the characters' relationship dynamic was so amazing that it adds a star
*spoiler* I do wish we got a little more with the ending tho, like maybe one more chapter where we could see them together
Graphic: Violence, Injury/Injury detail, Animal death, Blood, Gore, and Suicide attempt
Moderate: Cursing, Grief, Body horror, War, and Death

This book was more challenging than I expected because of how poetic the writing style was-- but I really enjoyed it nonetheless, especially the second half of the book. It's a masterpiece, one that I feel like I'm definitely going to want to re-read again sometime.
