OH MY GOSH!!! What a roller coaster! If you even remotely liked the first book, you will love this beautiful continuation of the series. More plots, betrayals, found family, and dragons, what more could you want!? While it started off a little slower, mostly focusing on Lillian’s grief, it set the stage for a lot of the beautiful world building we see as the book progressed making the send half even more captivating. The characters continued to capture my heart and I was rooting for them constantly. Kian and Lillian are still my favorites, but Finn still holds special place in my heart. The dialogue was so easy and it just sucked me in. It was such an effort read (in a great way!) and I had such a difficult time putting it down. I was completely sucked in and I couldn’t wait to find out the ending! As for that… well done Sophia! But also, HOW COULD YOU!?!? Already dying for book 3!!!

Holy sh*t. I am just speechless at how amazing this series is! I immediately picked up this one right after finishing book 1 and now I'm PISSED I have to wait so long for book 3. Like, why? This is SO GOOD. Another emotional rollercoaster just like the first and I love it so much. This starts right where book 1 left off (thank goodness because that ending!) and proceeded to continue to surprise me in all of the best ways. The secrets and deception? Flawless. The magic and creatures? Top notch. The found family, trauma healing, spice (just the one!), and details throughout? Couldn't have been better. Literally cannot handle how amazing these books are and will talk about them to everyone with an ear. Pick this up immediately!

Echo of Deceit by Sophia St. Germain is the story of Lillian, who has come to terms with who she really is.

The story picks up after the events in book one and you get thrown into the action right away. There is some much action I was immediately glued to the pages. The writing style is fast paced and flowing and I did not want to stop reading. I felt for Lillian for what she had to do in the first book (go on and start reading that one!). She is fierce, but hurts inside and that is why she keeps everyone away, including Kian, her mate. He suffers as well and this all was heartbreaking to read. I loved how there were multiple POVs in this book so you could really feel all the emotions. During the story I hoped Lillian would come to her senses and when she did, she was awesome.

Echo of Deceit is filled with danger, magic, mythology, it has great worldbuilding and fantastic characters. At the end there is this massive cliffhanger and I could not believe what I was reading. This cannot not be the end! I am so looking forward to the next book, because as I said, this cannot be the end!

I loved the first book, Echo of Wings, but this sequel is much better. If you have not read this series, you are missing out. So run to your bookstore and start reading these books.

Highly recommended!

✨️ My thoughts ✨️
This book DEFINITELY left me speechless. There were more tension and plot twists. I really wasn't prepared for what was in this book... I had a lot of times where I just had to stop and think, "Did that really just happen?" and I went back for more. I will say Lillian had experienced more in this book, and her character growth was AMAZING. She truly is a fighter for what she wants and for the people she loves/cares for. I'm curious how book 3 will go because of the actions that happen in this book. This is all I can say without spoiling it for ya, soo please go read this series. I HIGHLY recommend it.

✨ARC Review✨
Echo of Deceit by Sophia St. Germain
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Release Date: 7/16/2024
Tropes: Found Family, Fated Mates, Bonds with Mythical Creatures

This is the second book in Sophia St. Germain’s Echo series and it starts off exactly where the first book leaves off. This book focuses more on the romance aspect than the first book, and I absolutely loved it. You still get plenty of action and adventure. You learn about secrets that have been kept, betrayal that has happened for years, and just how far someone will go to save and protect the ones you love. You also get grief and heartache.

I loved the first book, Echo of Wings, but I loved this one so much more! I loved getting to know Kian more. And him and Lillian together is pure fire! And the twists and turns at towards the end of the book and my jaw on the floor. I love love love this series and cannot wait till the next one comes out!

I'm speechless. This book right here will bring out a rollercoaster of emotions from page 1 to the very end.

The world building in the book is unique and captivating. We continue learning more about each character which will suck you in deeper into the story. This book is full of tension, laughs, heartbreak, betrayals, trials, and surprises. At times, I was frustrated with each character, but I knew this was part of the development. The loveable Finn will always be a person I want to wrap up in a hug and protect. Once I reached the last 100 pages, I knew things were going to hit the fan and I was not prepared. This is your warning, you won't be prepared either, but buckle up because you are in for a wild ride. This series is one of my top series this year. I'm anxiously waiting for the next.

I just simply in love with this book. It's brilliant. So many good characters, I can't choose a favourite. Really loved how the story evolved, how the main characters grew into their potential.
I'm trying to get my thoughts together but I'm still under the book's spell.

Seriously? You did that to us? Your dedicated readers??? Why oh why??

Echo of Deceit is everything you would want in a book, action, a strong FMC, a nasty MMC, fantastic world building, brilliant character development, a few twists, well, more than a few, that result in a smooth dive off a cliff, with only the barest of hopes to hold onto! Sophia St. Germain, I am forever dedicated to your work!!
