Okay, am I going to sound like an idiot if I say that I don't really understand what happened in the end? This was... an interesting book to say the least. I think I would've liked it better if the ending had turned out differently instead of the way it did.
Don't get me wrong, the twists and turns were good and made sense for the plot. But the overall 'lesson', as it was?? Weird.

The premise of this book was so promising, but it was just...fine? All the horror movie references were fun and I enjoyed reading it, but also it was super predictable. And I can't decide if I like the ending or hate it.

I picked this book up based only on its title. I was sure it was going to be dark, funny, and gripping. And I couldn't have been more right. A cross between Scream and It's a Wonderful Life. The killer was predictable from the start, but the twist at the end, I never saw coming. The ending made the predictability worth it. Definitely a must-read for any 90s slasher movie fan.

Really interesting premise let down by a completely asynchronous twist. I like a surprise at the end of a mystery, but this one came out of nowhere and felt like it was only for shock value.
Also I didn’t really care for the Ready Player One levels of references to 90s culture and horror movies.
