I genuinely don’t know whether I liked this book or not. What I do know is that it’s an undeniably interesting character study.
The cast is made up of deeply flawed, sometimes unlikeable people, which made it both fascinating and emotionally exhausting to read. I especially wish we’d seen more of Zoe - she was the only character I truly connected with.
This is not a comforting story, but one that lingers. I do think, however, that this is extremely overhyped.

This was different to how I thought it would be, but it was still sad and gripping and totally unforgettable. These characters are flawed and pretty un-likeable but I loved how this book conveyed that things can change and aren’t what you always think / hoped they will be and that is ok.
if the emotional cheating between pretentious folk wasn’t enough i called it quits after frank flushed the sugar glider down the toilet - completely unnecessary imo.
