The thing is with this book is that the first half took me FOREVER to read...but the second half I read in a few hours? 😭 Like it just took me ages to get into it and then when I did it was good

I COULD NOT STAND Tella and honestly didn't want to finish the book because of her but man I'm glad I did! After making it to the end, I no longer hate her. She is brilliant!

I sincerely enjoyed this book. It’s definitely a wild ride and all over the place, but it works!

Set in a different world, we have two sisters who have an abusive father and obtain tickets to this magical circus event. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity but one sister is betrothed to someone sight unseen and the wedding is coming up so leaving is out of the question, especially since their father wouldn’t let them. Yet, they find a way and make it to CARAVAL. From there, a series of hints and clues help the sisters uncover the secrets of Caraval and themselves.

I still have lots of questions about this book, and I will admit some of the details felt out of control and purposeless but I also think that’s the point? So, I didn’t get too hung up on it. I hope we learn more about Legend in the sequel (we better with the name of the book…. Haha). Overall, this was a super magical and whimsical read - very fun.
