A Comfort Apocalypse Read

Honestly I’m shocked I loved this so much. I’ve never really gotten into reading zombie books but being that it was by Lyra Winters, I had to try it.

Tori, Micah, Nathan, and Calix were such a sweet and comfy romance to watch unfold. Basically a love at first sight type deal with them, and no drama between their group.

The drama actually comes from Tori’s ex best friend and ex boyfriend, and the zombies of course.

Full of action and love, it was such a great read.

SPOILER: content/trigger warning… there was one very hard to read part and that’s when Tori’s horse was killed.

YESS for treehouse living

This book did SO MANY THINGS just right. I loveeeeedddd the setting of the zombie apocolypse. OW drama was actually kept to a minimum, though her past is always shoved right in her face. The guys were all sooooo sweet and trusing of this badass FMC in a way I was immediately head over heels for. Lyra does instalove just right. And as a cherry on this zombified cake, one of the MCs has some significant mental hurdles to overcome in order to be with her. This isn't a matter of "I'm fixed because if you," but "I'll try for you." And I just loved it.

Another absolutely amazing release from Lyra! This book has me rethinking my aversion to all zombie media. The relationships were amazing and I loved all three men so much. Calix was my favorite. His gentle and sweet nature was just so adorable. You definitely won’t regret reading this one!

Good zombie apocalypse romance

This was a sweet, fun read. I liked Tori - she was kind but not a pushover. She was just a good person despite the zombie apocalypse. After being betrayed and having to see the 2 people who did it every day for 3 years she would be justified in being bitter and petty but that just isn't who Tori is. Then she meets the guys and the sweetness begins. I loved all of the guys but Callix was my favorite. He just had so much more to overcome but he manages it for Tori. Honestly the whole thing was just adorable! Karma does come around and there were a couple of twists that added to the story. This was just a good read.

My Rotten Love Life is a why choose, post-apocalyptic romance. It’s a quick standalone novel, cute yet different concept.

This is a trope I don’t read very often. I mean, can zombie apocalypse really be considered a romance trope??

It's been a hot minute since I've read any sort of post-apocalyptic book. And I definitely haven't read any as a reverse harem. When Lyra announced her new book, I was skeptical but sooo incredibly excited. It doesn't happen often that a new book is different from anything I've ever read before.

I don't know what I was expecting but a zombie-filled book with humor, and heart-wrenching moments but also be spicy and a balm to my soul was not it.

Please please please give this one a try if you're interested in reverse harem. It was so good and definitely worth the read.

Thank you to Lyra Winters for the advanced review copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I absolutely loved this book, I’ve already read this book twice. Lyra hit another home run with this book. I would rate the spice factor a 3.5/5 and the book itself a 5/5. It is a smaller RH with 3 male love interests. Tori found out her boyfriend was cheating on her with her best friend. Tori walks out to literally the end of the world. She’s forced to be around her ex boyfriend and ex best friend who unknowingly push Tori into the arms of the 3 men. This book focuses more on their love story more than the zombies so people who aren’t huge fans of zombies can still enjoy the book. The only thing I would change is the length of the book, I just wish it was longer because I couldn’t get enough of it.
