About communication and the meaning we give to rituals and the meaning we can take away from rituals. Informative, well written, inspirational, grounded. The examples and mini stories Priya Parker uses to illustrate her guidelines to gathering well are varied and always provided with an emotional core.
A book that benefits from having a highlighter nearby.

I love the intentionality that this brings to consideration and the way it calls into question traditionally held beliefs on gathering. I wish more of the examples centered on the everyday kind of gatherings where small differences could add up to big change. The examples of large, extravagant gatherings and examples where a paid facilitator is present were fascinating, but required more mental gymnastics to tone down to the level of gathering I'm typically a part of.
