Very cute and fluffy! The girls like each other from the start and are very cute about it. They also talk to the fish and the fish kind of talk back! There were a few times I couldn't figure out who was talking, though.

Cute slice of life but pretty slow-paced. I didn’t really feel like I got to know the characters very well. Loved the aquarium setting, I thought that was so unique and makes for a fun summer read.

This cute high school GL manga takes place in a small costal town where Konatsu Amano moves to after her father had to take on an overseas job.
She meets this cute girl who is also a soli member of the Aquarium club..
The concept of this manga is so cool. Konatsu has difficulty making friends, she tried hard but always overthinks her every move. Whereas Koyuki's crush is so obvious and she is sort of jealous of the girls who know how to freely talk to Konatsu.

The start to this series was so cute OMG!
The story so warm, and cozy and chock full of cinnamon moments, and so freaking beautifully drawn.
Introverts need love to man!
Hoping this continues into volume 2.

Despite my high rating I have conflicting emotions regarding this series. To make this easier on everyone, I'm simply going to list them rather than try to weave different ideas and feelings into a cohesive and coherent review. Thank you, here we go.
Pros:
1. The artwork/art style is strong and I love the aquatic imagery. It's very reminiscent of Bloom into You's use of water imagery to convey emotion. Also, the little salamander that pops up once in awhile on Homani is adorable (I love salamanders!). The designs for the main leads are simple yet charming and their facial expressions were funny and cute, full of emotion. The animals were also drawn really well and I want those Pancake Tortoise Pancakes, please!!!
2. The story is simple, fun, and super adorable! Oh my goodness, Homani's reactions to Konatsu are just so damn sweet, my heart almost melted! Not sure what the central conflict will be yet, but I'm enjoying the ride so far.
3. The characters, while not incredibly deep, were fun and enjoyable to watch. The interactions between Konatsu and Homani were adorable and while I don't sense strong chemistry between them, I can still imagine them as a couple.
Cons:
1. While I adore the artwork, it doesn't feel as bright as other shoujo manga tend to be. This doesn't mean that the art is bad or poorly drawn, it just seems a little gloomy, like it could be brighter but it isn't. A small nitpick, but I had to bring it up.
2. Okay, I do like Konatsu and Homani and I think they'll make a cute couple if they get together, but I don't quite get their dynamic. At parts, it kind of feels like they're the same character because their personalities are so similar. After finishing this volume, all that I gathered from Konatsu is that she's lonely, she puts on a smile even though she's down, and she doesn't like hurting people's feelings. As for Homani, she puts on a smile even though she's down, she's lonely, and she puts on the front of a calm, proper young lady yet is easily riled. Maybe I missed something while reading, but that's what I gleaned from the first read. Granted, characters are allowed to have similar personalities and have similar issues, but when the two main leads only have (at least to me) one major character difference that becomes a problem. That being said, this is only the first volume and perhaps they get more flushed out in the next volume. Again, I don't dislike these characters, I just think they're too similar.
3. The story isn't bad, but it's also not doing anything new. And considering that I don't see a central conflict in the first volume, it worries me how the rest of the series will go.
Welp, those are my thoughts. I'm still on the fence whether I want to commit to this series wholeheartedly, so I'm going to give it to the next volume to see. Despite my gripes, this is a super cute series that I think a lot of people will enjoy, so pick it up if it strikes your fancy.
