Emily Henry hit a home run with this flip on the romance genre. The characters are fun and endearing, and this story doesn't waste time. All of the action, dialogue, and moments feel justified. I highly recommend this if you enjoyed her other classic Beach Read, and if you haven't read Emily Henry before, this is a great introduction!

This book read like a Hallmark movie but I was entertained!

This book has been collecting dust on my bookshelf for almost 2 years and I finally found the perfect time to read it. This was the perfect book to end my summer reading with - officially time to start my fall reads!

It took me a minute to get into this book ... I read maybe like 20 pages one day and then took a 3 day break only to read the remaining pages all in one sitting today ... But once I did get into it I was LOCKED IN. 'Book Lovers' had (almost) everything I want in a romance book (if it was sapphic it would've been near PERFECT in the romance department but I still loved this). Honestly this book made me feel seen through Nora. The workaholic city girl who’s seen as cold and withdrawn. A neurotic control freak who’s terrified of even giving a tiny bit of that up. The older sister who would do anything for her younger sibling. Reading this made me stupidly optimistic that maybe I can too find a very hot and swoon-worthy person who can deal with me in all my control freak, neurotic, workaholic, bitchy city girl glory. One can dream.

I also really love how this book doesn't change Nora or punish her for being ambitious and hardworking. It's so true that men are allowed to be obsessed with their work, whereas women who do the same are too often treated as if they have an illness. I'm glad that's not the case here. I always hated to see powerful women tamed.

This book was just fun - nothing life changing but it was very enjoyable! It was an easy read and was fairly light, though it did skate across some serious issues I never felt that the book truly dug into them which I wish it would have (maybe would’ve upped the star rating a bit)

Emily Henry you are truly that girl and now I am so excited to read other books from her.

i am nora. (really i’m libby but also i’m nora (if you’re a middle daughter of three you get it)). charlie is perfect. the only emily henry book of three where both the love story and the other aspects of the plot hooked its teeth in me and didn’t let go. it made me give every reaction under the sun. i didn’t want it to end. probably why i knew it would be a 5 by barely a quarter of the way through.
