This series is so much fun to me, and I loved every book. Diablo is no exception. He’s SUCH a brat, but you get to know him so well in this book. I admit, it’s mostly spicy, but the whole premise is so much fun.

Not as great as Whit, Sem, Luke and Colin but still very good, I'm on my second read!
Dual POV, 2 narrators, Size difference, bodyguard, crazy, Diablo's Dad is main mafia, Diablo is on the run from mafia enemy targeting him.
adventurous funny medium-paced

PLEASE be aware that this review is meant for my own purposes only in order to help me recall this book and is in no way a reflection of what I think anyone else will like or want out of a book. It is simply a memory aid and a rough voice-to-text which is completely unedited/reviewed for errors. Read at your own discretion.

Diablo is the unhinged needy son of a mafia boss and when he pisses off another bad guy he has to go into hiding with his hunky bodyguard. I found Diablo too over the top to be sympathetic. The plot was okay and the spice was fun but I didn’t love these characters.

Well ...
The book had a few nice moments, but overall it was nothing.
One of my favorite tropes - the bodyguard and the brat. This one is an OTT-brat and a not so impressive bodyguard … for me.

the most unhinged yet

this series takes a step in a new (and exciting) direction with something a little different than we’ve had so far

Diablo and Skylar bring a lot of energy and chemistry to this trip of a book.

This is closer to a 3.5 for me, rounded up to a 4.

Skylar is hired by Diablo's father to be his bodyguard and keep him safe. They spend the book in a house together.

This had things that I expected to love; age gap, non/dubcon, size difference, forced proximity...but I'll admit it didn't fully work for me. But that's more of a "ME" issue than the book.
If you enjoyed the rest of this series or love Cora's unique writing, then you'll probably love this book as well. The brat aspect just did not work as well for me. I'm not known for my patience and Diablo truly tested it in this. I was honestly annoyed and frustrated by him for 70% of this book. I knew it would pay off and the end would make it all worth it...but it was a rough ride getting there. Again, that's a "me" problem though. I don't dislike a bratty character, but Diablo was the brattiest character I have ever read, and it was a bit much for me. It was obviously all for attention. It just ran a bit too childish for me.
Skylar was a rock. That man had the patience of a saint. Seriously.

Overall, the book is a good time. It gives you everything you expect from the series; steam, humor, and OTT characters that always win you over and provide way more heart than you expect them to.

✨ Diablo by Cora Rose ✨

This book was pure chaos...and I mean that in the best way possible.

Unhinged and goofy af. Also really fkn hot????

I've been waiting for Diablo's story. I have loved him in his previous cameos but his own book just didn't hit the way I was expecting it to. He's a brat. I love brats but I didn't always love him. It light read and so your in the mood for fluff read it. It just left me a little disappointed because I wanted more.
