I wanted to like this more than I did. I really struggled with the writing; the pacing, the plot holes, and the grammar were all tough to handle. I felt confused for the majority of this book in a way that felt less like the result of the author intentionally drawing out the mystery and more so the result of a lack of editing and forethought. Too many conveniently occurring plot points that were never seeded or mentioned before they came in to save the day. This reads very much like unedited, loosely-plotted fan fiction.

What I did appreciate about this book was that it’s one of the very few LGBTQ+ why-choose romances I’ve been able to find. And I think there was a lot of potential in the plot that just was never fully executed, but the potential was fun.

The only thing that would push me to read book 2 is that the market for this genre is so limited, and I do care about a handful of the characters (mainly Eli) but I’m not sure if I can deal with more of the cons to get to those few brief glimmers of promise.

I am speechless. I never thought this series would be one that I would grow to love and cherish but it seems to have wormed its way into my heart. POS 5 finishes Rosie and the groups journey….in a truly special way that only makes sense for them lol. I didn’t expect this book to pack as much emotion and feeling into it as it did but it truly wowed me with how often I was tearing up or outright crying. Some of the best spicy scenes of the series are also in this book. I could let you know the most poignant chapters…but I’ll let you go on that journey on your own. If you’ve read books 1-4, you owe to Rosie and yourself to finish this journey and let it break your heart and build it back together like all great books do!

This book had some new features that I’ve not read before so that and that alone kept it from receiving sub-1 stars. There was no direction, no point, no humor, no sense, and no life in this book. But it didn’t leave me angry, I guess? Thanks be to god for that.

This was so bad. It was so long, but.nothing happened. Stretching the "plot" over multiple books almost feels like a scam.
