I'm with all the hype.

I love this book it's been a long time since a romance book had me squealing and kicking my feet or even closing the book at times. Ali Hazelwood awoke the teen in me. I've never had an author who went on the favorites list just by the one book. After this, I went and preordered Bride and bought Love Theoretically.

ā€œMaybe you’re not meant for me the way I'm meant for you, but I'm going to choose you. Over and over again.ā€

I'm not going to lie and say there weren't things that I was side eyeing, like the size difference or the miscommunication. But it was done in a way that bothered me but didn't if that makes sense. I do hope to see a wider range of female characters or males, because not all females are super tiny or males super tall.

Hopefully, as time goes by with Ali Hazelwood dabbling into werewolves and vampires, soon she'll dabble into plus size or wideset men. Until then expecting great things from this author.

Thank you,

I truly loved this book from beginning to end, it kept me hooked the entire time. The academia setting was so fun and immersive. It was the perfect backdrop for Olive and Adam’s story. The two of them were such a perfect duo. Their chemistry felt natural and believable from the very start.

If anything, I would’ve enjoyed seeing a few more personal, intimate dates between them. Little moments that showed their relationship growing outside of the main plot. That would have added even more depth to their connection. Still, even without that, their dynamic never felt lacking. The story gave us just enough to fall in love with their bond, and I never once doubted the relationship.

And Adam… what a man! When he said, ā€œI am going to take care of this. And then I’ll come find you, and I’ll take care of you,ā€ my heart completely melted. He was written so perfectly.

I enjoyed the characters and the setting of the book but I felt the plot was a little thin. I know it’s a controversial statement as this book appears on so many lists as a standout of the fake dating trope but to be honest, I’ve seen this trope done better. I did enjoy the development of the relationship and it was definitely a fun book to read. While I would recommend it to others I don’t know if it’s one I would personally re-read.
