In this volume, John starts progresses through some interesting mage warfare and then is abruptly abducted into an unexplained DC Event called Forever Evil. From that point on, a collective conscious monster that named itself Blight does things that make no sense and are uninteresting in the context of this title. Other characters are visible but mostly bound to the walls of elaborate magick-sucking devices. Eventually Constantine does what he always does, but in a much more contrived and hijacked sort of way. I blame the editors and broader "creative direction" more than the people whose names appear on the front of this book.

Incoherent. The series is totally derailed by an event. If you are trying to understand this you need to have read or be ready to switch back and forth between this and Trinity War; Forever Evil, Justice League Dark, Pandora, and Forever Evil: Blight. Just skip to volume 3.

I wouldn't suggest reading this without also reading the other comics in the Blight event. I'm actually doing the whole Forever Evil event so this was part of it. The more I read Constantine, the more I like reading Constantine. It doesn't necessarily make me like him more, because he's kind of an a-hole (he's written that way, it's not his fault). The whole Constantine-Zatana-Necro trinity thing is a pretty cool plot device that adds a lot to the story and I'm just a sucker for anything with magic so I'm totally covered here.

Part of a different wider story arc so made little sense. A bit too mainstream DC for my likings

More costumes - gag. John is pretty great though.

2/3 były środkową (końcową?) częścią jakiegoś eventu, którego nie znałem, więc byłem bardzo zdezorientowany. Ale przynajmniej dowiedziałem się, że Constantine był kiedyś poliamorycznym związku.
