Narrated by Vinn the god of wind and Ulika, Ford’s fantasy has some similarities to the Ancient Greek myth of Eros and Psyche.

Short, sweet, easy to read romantasy.
I loved Vinn and Ulika.

meh. this one is the lowest-rated one in the collection and for obvious reasons. not what I thought it would be. I expected something similar to deal with the elf kind and it ended up being a boring second chance sappy love story.

great premise, but the writing needs work

“The rose bush reminded me that sometimes one must endure thorns to reach the loveliest flowers, but in the end, their beauty is worth the bloodshed.”

If you like ridiculous, cheesy lines that sound like they’re coming from a lovesick amateur poet without much prompting, you might enjoy this. It’s riddled with it.

I get that Novella’s are short, but if you can’t build a world and tell a good story in 200 pages, then make it a novel. Or don’t write it at all?

Nothing was ever explained. And yet, there was so much telling and not enough story. While I want to read the rest of the series, I’m no longer in a rush to do so.

2 stars because it was an interesting premise. It was like a twisted version of Aladdin. The writing just needs work.

DNF

Characters: Vinn, Ulika, Justice

Vinn is a god of wind, Ulika traps him in a lamp. It’s boring and very poorly written.

Aladdin vibes

I loved this book so much. I loved the Aladdin vibes it was giving me. It was a great read and I can’t wait to read more books by this author.
